Here is a traditional holiday side dish for you all, and is absolutely delicious.
Prep: 5 minutes
Cook: 8 minutes
Yield: 8 servings
2 (1lb) bags cut green beans, frozen
2 tablespoons water
1 stick butter
1tsp crushed garlic
½ cup pine nuts
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Put the green beans with 2 tablespoons of water in a microwave-safe bowl. Make sure to cover it and cook for 6-7 minutes depending.
At the same time melt the butter in a large skillet over medium low heat. The butter will bubble and turn brown, giving off a nutty smell. When it becomes light brown add the garlic, cooked and drained green beans and pine nuts. After they are all combined, make sure to toss them to mix them thoroughly, then saute them for 1 minute until heated. Then season with the salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately.
